Udp-α-d-xylose is soluble (in water) and a moderately acidic compound (based on its pKa). Udp-α-d-xylose can be found in a number of food items such as pak choy, turmeric, arrowhead, and agar, which makes udp-α-d-xylose a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products.
