FooDB Name | Tin |

Description | Tin, also known as [SNH2], belongs to the class of inorganic compounds known as miscellaneous mixed metal/non-metals. These are inorganic compounds containing non-metal as well as metal atoms but not belonging to afore mentioned classes. Tin is possibly neutral. Tin is found, on average, in the highest concentration within a few different foods, such as irish moss, burdocks, and yams and in a lower concentration in turnips, romaine lettuces, and gingers. Tin has also been detected, but not quantified in, several different foods, such as flaxseeds, bilberries, apples, parsley, and red raspberries. This could make Tin a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. |
