ketoprofen has pharmacologic actions similar to those of other prototypical nsaids, that is thought to be associated with the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. ketoprofen is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, dysmenorrhea, and to alleviate moderate pain.
