(r)-b-aminoisobutyric acid can be found in a number of food items such as sapodilla, avocado, pineapple, and chinese broccoli, which makes (r)-b-aminoisobutyric acid a potential biomarker for the consumption of these food products (r)-b-aminoisobutyric acid can be found primarily in feces (r)-b-aminoisobutyric acid exists in all living organisms, ranging from bacteria to humans.
